The Charlton Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a non-profit, all-volunteer group committed to enriching our children’s educational experiences and building a vibrant community at our schools.

Rustic Sign Paint Night

Join PTO parents at a rustic sign paint night.  You will receive all materials and instruction for only $30.   Light appetizers will be provided.

Come have some fun and raise funding for our schools!

PTO Gift Card Fundraiser

The PTO’s annual gift card fundraiser is the best deal in town!  You purchase gift cards at face value and retailers donate a percentage of the proceeds to the PTO.  Orders can be submitted using the forms sent home with students or online.

Online/Paper Orders are due by November 28th


To order online, create an account at and use group ID# 508CharltonPTO

Please return paper orders (include contact information) to your child’s teacher.

Cash/checks (to Charlton PTO) are accepted for all orders OR you can order online and pay with a credit card.

You can place an order online and pay for it/pick it up at the school (select this option at checkout).

Please include a print out of your order when you send your cash/check payment to the school before 11/28.


***Pick up for ALL orders is December 9th during KidShop at Heritage School.***

No orders will be send home with children

CMS Dodgeball Tournment

Its time for the middle school students’ favorite PTO event of the year!

Two brackets – one for 5th and 6th graders and the other for 7th and 8th graders.

Students should organize into teams that include 3 boys and 3 girls.

Cost per registered team is $30 or $5 per player.

Date – Friday December 1st

Time – 2:30 – 4:30 – Please plan to pick your child up from this event.

Parents welcome as spectators.  Spectator admission price is $2.00.

Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase.


Charlton Elementary and Heritage School Teacher Luncheon

Thursday December 7th, is a half day at Charlton Elementary and Heritage Schools for parent teacher conferences.  On this very busy day, the PTO likes to provide a hot lunch for the teachers and staff.  We could use your help with donation of food items or money for this lunch.  An email with a link to sign-up on-line will be distributed soon.  Please consider helping us thank our teachers by donating an item!

The PTO is looking for parents who are able to assist with the following activities and events.   If you can assist with any of the following activities, please contact us at

5th and 7th Grade Vision Screening

Mrs. Harrington, the Charlton Middle School Nurse, is looking for some help next week (Tuesday October 3rd and Wednesday October 4th 8am-2pm)with vision screening for the 5th and 7th grade students.  Volunteers will direct students to the sightmobile, keep the noise level down in the hallway and to call the next classroom for screenings. **Please remember all volunteers must be CORI checked prior to volunteering.*

Marketing Committee

The PTO is looking for parents who are interested in working with local business to enhance our fundraising efforts.  Parents will contact local business, identify their interest and work with them to form a mutually beneficial partnership.
Policy Committee – The PTO needs to update our policies.  Parents with a talent for organization and editing are needed.
